Carat is weight, not size. A 2.00 ct stone looks about 25–30% wider than a 1.00 ct, not twice as wide. On a slimmer finger the same stone looks bigger.
Diamond colour & clarity
Colour runs from D, with no colour at all, towards a faint yellow. D–F look icy white. G–H look white once set, especially in yellow or rose gold.
Clarity is how many tiny natural marks a diamond has. From VS1 upwards they can't be seen without 10× magnification.
